Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Dec 8th or Jan 4th??

Does anyone know if the last day to be vaccinated will be moved to Jan 4th or will they just stick with Dec 8th? Also, for those not complying (true non-compliance - getting an accommodation is still compliance), are you letting your supervisor know or keeping it to yourself until the very end? Thanks.

I retired too soon. I would have loved to battle these jackasses over the vaccine. I was spoiling for a fight as it was.

I never thought I'd see the day when adults acted like little kids afraid of a simple shot in the arm.

Get tested at home with Pixel by lab Corp, don't take test , send it back in mail as it gets sent to LabCorp. Free as we have Cigna. Managers approve. Get results In two days. This is all a scam, so many people got approved for exemptions. This will go on until at least summer and then the testing will fall away. Let the games continue.

Per the EEOC:
“If a vaccine is administered to an employee by an employer for protection against contracting COVID-19, the employer is not seeking information about an individual’s impairments or current health status,” the commission said, “and, therefore, it is not a medical examination.”

@Pray Tell. Who is also probably @SMH and @Why try to hurt others?

"Laughable and dangerous all at the same time."

I love that you avoided answering the questions about how it is hurting others. Still waiting. And what exactly is dangerous? And how exactly is it dangerous? Laugh all you want, we're not laughing back at you...we pity you for your own ignorance and arrogance. How sad.

""Okay, but what we accept as the terms of the job are up to us."
Completely false. I am not surprised that you didn't know this but to be so proud of such ignorance speaks volumes."

How so? How exactly is it "completely false" for someone to accept or reject the terms of their employment? Do tell.

Bored people who think that they are so important in the world "holding the line" and taking their big stand.
Laughable and dangerous all at the same time.

Email just went out that it is bumped to Jan 4th. FAQ shows that testing requirements are also bumped. HOLD THE LINE!

@Why try to hurt others?
Pray tell -
Exactly how does an unvaccinated person hurt a vaccinated person?
Exactly how does someone with natural immunity hurt others?
Exactly how does someone working from home hurt others?
I can't wait for your response!!!

"You do realize that holding a job is a privilege and refusing to comply puts your employment in serious jeopardy, right? You'd better be prepared to have a good reason for not having a vaccine proof or be willing to test weekly.
I cannot understand the arrogance of this entire situation, honestly."

I cannot understand the arrogance of this comment, honestly.

Obviously, we KNOW the risks of not complying and many of those who truly understand what is happeneing would rather lose their jobs than comply. Better be prepared to have a good reason or test weekly? Umm, no. I am prepared to work elsewhere, though.
A privilege to have a job? Okay, but what we accept as the terms of the job are up to us. We can accept or decline the terms. And who says this is the end all, be all of jobs? There are scores of help wanted postings. Lots of other jobs to be had that don't have this mandate attached to them.

Reject the terms of the accommodation, rescind the exemption request.

Any recommendations on what to do for someone who received a religious exemption but has a huge problem with the testing requirement?

I'm thinking they'll probably wait and see how many are not in compliance on Nov 24th, then if it's more than they are comfortable with, they'll push it to Jan 4th. It's about sales and revenue numbers. As far as telling your supervisor, I'm on the fence at this point. I'd be interested to hear what others are planning, espwcially those who have already told management.
