Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

No internal growth

So we have over 100,000 employees, but can't find one good enough to fill a C Suite position?

There’s no vaccine mandate at GM. They encourage it but don’t mandate it and they are still doing well. Hans is too far gone. His allegiance is to blackrock not Verizon employees.

Mary Barra, ceo at Gm, has been there her entire career and rose up through the ranks and doing a great job.
How about Tami Erwin to be ceo at Verizon. Get this company back on track. Time for a change.

They will only pick non Americans to lead the company's executive suite. This is about 'globalism' and being an antidote to MAGA by controlling communications. They use veterans as beards for this.

Are you sure calling the leadership "unemployed" is a good idea. All they do is sit around board room meetings all day wondering how they can look good before the board of directors. Who do you all think you are that work 7 days a week staring at a computer monitor all day. Stop being so lazy, or we will cut the pension fund.

We still have 235,000 working at Verizon. Only 100,000 are Full time employees in the states. . And the other 135,000 are employees and contractors who work in India.

In 2007, Verizon had 235,000 employees. Thank god for Verizon's continued contributions to the unemployment pool continuing to make new welfare recipients every year.

It's good enough to have Google delete any posts that Verizon wants deleted. Why even ask these questions?

Yea should do a squid games to see who gets it.

Think about how internal power structure works. You have your little VP slot and your minions below you. It's much better to bring someone in who is beholden to you and "your guy" than promote someone who is already under your existing power structure.

If you were a VP with an open executive director slot - what would promoting one of your dozen Directors do for you? Bring in your buddy you used to work with at Deloitte and now you are even more secure in your position with more internal capital.
