That's some truth there in IT but just like other groups. Many brown people doing the work and they just get these token low level managers who don't even have control of their group's budgets, hiring decisions or anything important. Here in Accounting it's all just the same.
This place so white even the top management in IT is white! Only token brownies in low levels. One of each they say just for representation.

There are people that are not minorities that have had plenty of undeserved promotions. Just because they are buddies with somebody above them.

This is a terribly written and expressed post. Shame on the person who posted it. I think this post is in reaction to a recent asset leadership announcement.
I think most people agree that promoting diversity, when appropriately done, benefits us all.
However, elevating completely unqualified individuals to important positions does a disservice to the organization, and also does a disservice to the underrepresented groups that this action is trying to help. This is counterproductive to the goal of promoting diversity widely, and strengthening the organization as a result.
We actually have plenty of diversity here we just don’t have what diversity is supposed to enable: a multitude of ideas that help advance the organization.
The dissenting voices are gone and no one left is willing to stick their neck out to fix the plethora of internal issues we have.
To blame minorities/diversity for the bad performance of this company is effing ridiculous
