A recruiter connection of mine in Pittsburgh was laid off today. No word of how many total people were part of the reduction but recruiters are usually one of the first departments hit

20 plus years of working for Walmart love my joba but now have to reapply for a position with hrs. That where i'm not able to get home no bus etc..
Assistant doesn't care. Feeling discriminated against as others she is msking sure they get whst they need for safety etc..don't understand have always had amazing yearly reviews and raises but now they don't care.
Very depressed and don't understand the cold shoulder and closed door.
Told if i dont comply and work the hrs. I have no way of getting home that i will have no schedule so unsure and felling not welcome so disrespected and being harassed and discriminated against 😢😭

“ As for Hardlines TL, I "heard" that we're getting a 2nd one. Also, a 2nd Hardlines Coach. The trade off is that the automotive ASM and D10 department manager positions are going away next Feb”

I haven’t seen or heard that anywhere. They are already discussing an ACC TL and that’s even in the career website.

The TL remaining had best be brought up to speed on personnel functions as they exist now. Not that they have the time or experience setting up interviews, orientation, and associate pay issues. One People Lead wasn't enough let alone the new coach(operations manager) position will have! I see the FE Coach and APASM splitting these duties but we'll see.

The people lead going salary it true. The change was just made as a pilot program in Market 432& 433 Omaha NE. They have changed the job title. The people leads had to re-apply for their positions. Salary is equivalent to a Coach. The other interesting thing in this test is that half of the new Salaried Personnel Managers will report to the Market HR person, and the other half will report to the Market Assistant. Pilot to run through April. Not making this up..... questions? Call a store in M432 or M433 and visit with the Salaried Personnel Manager.

I heard a "rumor" that hardlines TL was going away. Fabrics will go to Apparel, Toys to Entertainment and Sporting Goods and Hardware to Seasonal. Not sure about Stationary.

I hope it's true I need a out in this purgatory. GWP and the new generation of leaders has destroyed this company.
