Why do I get calls from DTV offering a 50% discount when I get the employee discount?

I know the employee discount is only supposed to continue through the end of 2021. But I keep getting calls from DTV offering a 50% discount. I have seen no emails that the discount is going away - yet.

First, I will ditch DTV as soon as they stop the T employee discount. DTV deserves to loose thousands of T employees when we loose the discount. T still owns 70% of DTV and a lot of the debt, thanks to the master debater Stink's negotiating abilities. I would NEVER pay 50% of DTV retail price. $12/month is about what it is worth to me.

Second, why would I give up my $12 DTV early before the discount goes away? Get lost DTV!

Third - the Stink is an I D I O T. I hope his ba--s fall off.

Anyone getting the calls from DTV?

"Lose" not "loose".

You "lose" a lot of people when your can't use those words properly. People start thinking you're not too smart, or perhaps have a sc--w "loose".

Not only does everyone lose their dtv discounts , you still get to service and help customers with dtv …. Yeah not me . Not our company not my problem . Rob us of our discounts find someone else to service what customers you have left .

I didn't buy this garbage even with the discount. Now AT&T will lose most of the customers they had left. Excellent business strategy!

With all the free streaming services available, why would anyone pay for internet AND cable? Which means they’ll probably hike up internet next. The only reason I had DTV was the price, and it’s not worth more than free.

As an active employee I paid $11.05 a month for DTV. After I retired the price went up to $141.36 a month.....and that's with the former employer/retiree discount.

I signed up and was surplus 2 months later, no longer an employee. Contract had a $200 early cancellation fee. T knows how to write a contract. You are gone, but you can still send T money.

Per the T discount site. Existing DTV discounts remain until end of 2021. Not available to those that are not receiving existing discount. Looks like full bills starting 2022.

The DTV employee discount will not be removed after the transaction. It was negotiated to keep it.

People are so gullible. It's a scam. I'm guessing they asked you to pay a lump sum up front with Amazon gift cards? And it's lose instead of loose!

The only reason I have any service provided by AT&T is the employee discount. The day I lose the discount on Wireless, Internet, or DTV is the day I disconnect that service. If I have to pay full price it will not be to AT&T.

I retired from AT&T 3 years ago and I also received a call offering DTV at 50% reduction.
(I let it go to voicemail, so did not actually talk to who called)

I have a retiree discount with Uverse, currently Grandfathered with my current subscription.

Unethical company with 80% incompetent employees.
More concerned with Social Justice than actual service.
Treat their customers bad and their employees worse.
They don't care. All lip service.
The unwilling lead by the unknowing.
34 years in.
Smile and wave.

I don't buy anything that at&t sells. Nada. Nuthin'. Period.

Who says the discount is going away? I haven’t seen anything to effect.

I have u-verse but if the company does away with the discount I will do away with uverse.
