Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

If you're in IT start looking for a new job

Let's face it, the main goal of this management is to outsource as much as it can of the IT department. Cheaper is better, even if cheaper comes with a significant drop in quality of work. It's only a matter of time before everybody has been laid off and replaced with somebody who's getting paid a quarter or even a tenth of their pay, depending on the country.

All of IT is Accenture at this point. If you are still an (IT) employee then more than likely you will eventually be rolled into Accenture or simply told your position no longer exists. This has been in progress for over a year now. Most all DataCenter teams have either migrated to ACC or pushed out completely. Best of luck to everyone.

Yes. It will come to a head when they try to migrate to cloud and do L&R separation.
Ironic that leaders are puzzled as to why people leave that aren’t being fired. In case anyone knows these so called leaders, tell them it can be put into a word, culture.
Manager’s idea of culture is sponsorship of diversity and saying the wine slogans of the left. Why? By paying lip service to these folks they hope to detract from the truth that there’s a huge disparity between what white males make versus female and minority hires, including H1b FTEs. They’re moving more work to Accenture/Cognizant/TCS and expecting employees to train them before they get let go, or they kick them over to Accenture and then Accenture fires them, allowing AIG to not have to pay severance .
If you work as an FTE in IT, my sympathies from someone who recently left and is much happier as a result.

Yes, this is the path of AIG200. But, I have seen behind the curtain. Wonder why so many issues with systems and why it takes so long to resolve? Now everything is going to cloud? Everything will be in the hands of non-caring overseas staff. What could go wrong? Justice.
