That’s not how it went down with GC (Glendale power supply guy). He was sick of Hon for all the same reasons everyone else is. Thing with his dad was the last straw.
But, PM was made the goat and he left because being a goat for losers sucks.
OP fake news. Vacation time is always up for approval by leadership and you manager. Do you not know how to read? Must be a trumpet just reads the part they want and not the facts.

Lazy whining L blockers just don't now when to shut up and take the beating. The line of business signed up for a stretch goal and you need to get on board and rebook this to the peak travel time and eat the loss. In grates are employees at will and nothing else.
In Glendale Space back 2018 or 2017 I knew an ace Power Supply Engineer who had plaques on his wall. He wanted to go see his ailing father on vacation. The young manager who once was a mechanical engr was greedy to get into management first went into ISC, then to manage One Web. That guy refused to allow the PS engr to take vacation saying its schedule critical for One Web. That engr just before leaving cleaned out his cubical, and went anyway. He came back only to get his exit package (what ever that was). That manager I spoke to after had no clue, only said "I don't know why he hated me" . Then the d-head manager left Hon.
Take it to your manager. If it was previously approved they have to reimburse your ticket etc. Worth a try.
HR still tracks how many vacation days taken and has been sending warning to managers when they see days taken exceeding the old plan allocation. Must sure you get your approval in writing
The "unlimited vacation" is the biggest scam since the timeshare was invented. These HR flying monkeys high fived each other when they brought that one to the WW.
I left for a company that has real vacation and get this- they want you to take it and enjoy what YOU earned.
Plead your case, explain the potential lost investment and the need to go back. I am sure you have a really critical need to go back....
No worries. Honeywell has been doing that to everyone. There's now way the geniuses running the place will figure it out. They're too busy trying to figure out who they're going to sc--w next.

I know of two people let go simply by logging into this site on their work laptops.
