Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

Uncertainty tires me out

Yes, it is tiresome to work in a company where there is so much uncertainty and one doesn't know whether he or she will be axed soon or not. I haven’t been here long, so I wonder if the situation used to be any different, could employees have felt safer, or has this never been a company for those who want certain amount of security?

It gets worse and worse every year. Each year I hope for a turnaround and then end up regretting that I stayed.

It will eventually start to severely impact mental health and family life, amplified by the constant job uncertainty / layoffs (but don’t worry - HR has hedged the legal risk with $10k of counciling time each year).

You stay here for money. That’s it. That’s all.

Deposit the cash in my bank account every 2 weeks Alex and then F-kk off!
