Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Manager Pay

I've been with this company for 5 years, considered a leader for the district in terms of being an SMIT coach and a exceeds expectations the past two years. I make 63k a year. My district leader just hired a SMIT for me to train, no experience, from fast food keyholder background, at 62k. So. I guess that's it for me. Pay people what they're worth.. it's an open market for talent right now. And trust me, this SMIT does NOT bring to the table what I'm going to take with me when I leave the table. Happy Thanksgiving.

To the person who said "most manager pay is over 80000." You are so wrong. I was a manager in the Midwest and the avg salary is under 65000. I went 7 years without a raise as I was "redlined" . If you don't know what that is then you'll soon find out. CVS decides just how much they are willing to pay in markets and based on your store size and sales they decide how much salary will be paid out of each store. Had my regional tell me that the Larry holdovers at corporate refuse to review and adjust the rates, they're willing to let long time managers leave and pay newbies less. And by the way, I was a leader in our division, always finished in top in district and regional rankings. Your pay has nothing to do with how good you are, quit being such an as----e when you don't know the facts.

Most managers make over 80 , you must be poor at what you do and hence the low pay rate

Hopefully managers will go to hourly soon and you can start unionizing your locations as true leaders and fight for every worker in the store.

CVS is going to go down in the record books for worst ever decisions made to save a drowning company. I hope these execs, from regional up, will never be able to find a job with a reputable company.

3 years ago I remember my DL telling me they can hire pharmacists for only 100k now because there's no demand for them. ROFL. Now they can't find people to fill the pharmacys.

Also....I urge all SMIT coaches to go print their green sheets for manager hours and payroll, subtract your salary from the payroll side and see just how much the cr---y replacements coming in are worth to the company.
