Thread regarding Belk layoffs

ALL EMPLOYEES DEMAND A RAISE FROM STORE MANAGER! ALL NEW EMPLOYEES NOW GET $15/HR AS OF OCT 1ST

DO NOT ALLOW BELK TO EXPLOIT YOU. IF YOU MAKE LESS THAN $15 DEMAND A RAISE EQUAL TO WHAT NEW HIRES ARE BEING PAID. IF YOU MAKE MORE THAN $15 DEMAND A RAISE EQUAL TO THE BUMP UP IN PAY OTHER EMPLOYEES RECIEVED. THIS IS ONLY FAIR. BELK IS EXPLOITING EMPLOYEES IN THE WORST WAY BY DOING THIS.

Wooooow. A coworker told me about this this morning. Shes been reading all these posts.
I’ve been working with belk for 10 years now and just started only making $10.49 an hour.
Meanwhile there is one guy who hasn’t been there a year yet and makes $13 and one guy who’s been there maaaaybe 3 years and makes $15.

This is disgusting.

New hires get $15 at my location. Some associates hired back in 2016 are still making $10.50

New hires get 12.00 per hour, but not our associates who have worked for years at our Belk in Snellville.

We hired two people at $15, they quit after two days.

When I worked for Toys R Us, they began giving employees pay increases about six months before they liquidated. They did this because they were fearful that people would quit when they got news the company was closing all stores. Not sure what Belk's intention is, but I have a feeling it's not a good one.
