Thread regarding Ascension Health layoffs

If that’s their goal, I think it’s inconsiderate

How many people have they decided to drop their job grades after being so humiliated? I don’t know, but I would immediately start thinking about new possibilities. On the other hand, that might be exactly what they wanted. Maybe their goal is to get people to leave?

@5lfy+1dcQzASG - It's my understanding that the employees that were offered new jobs staying on with Ascension kept their current pay and benefits. The folks that went to work for HCL of course took a pay and benefits cut but a couple of my former coworkers told me the offers they got were "competitive." Of course, the ones who went to work for HCL are all out of a job effective tomorrow...

I’m sorry but if you stay and apply internally and they make you drop a job grade…..you must be a sadomasochist. Get out!

Job Grades: When they make people reapply for their own position, but now because it's a different title, it pays lower, has worse benefits, etc. It's on a lower grade than what they had before.

How about people who have been ground down to nubs? How MANY times can you reapply for your job before you are just a shell?
