everyone is gonna get laid off in a few weeks, the shops are scheduled to close up for good and i feel bad for the people who still work there

feel bad for only a fraction of the people who will be layed off. Most of the people here at rockport cleveland mechanical are 10 dollar an hour spot labor who dont deserve any where near what n.s. is paying them. The only reason they have a job here at all is because of nepotism. I say fire most of them and the company will get rid of a bunch of parasites.

Even bigger News Flash!!! PTC can be added to any locomotive in 1 week by any system shop, but swapping out a non PTC equipped unit with a PTC equipped unit will only take a few hours. There is nothing special about your location as long as the rails are the same distance apart.

Try 5 people based in Bangladesh no way the ns pays double the work force and this creates better share holder value.
The people on here with their own ideas of how things work based on their location. News flash: not everywhere on the system is the same…. There are places operating still without PTC ever being installed yet.
All the PTC equipment is just one click away from making all trains remote controlled. The transportation department will be a 10 person crew of computer geeks based in Atlanta.
