Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Are there employees left in EMHC?

I’ve left the company a while ago and I keep checking in here cause I would like to know how bad it can get (guilty pleasure I know). Are there any employee left in Houston Campus? I see so many of the people I used to cross paths in there posting the infamous cubicle pic in LinkedIn saying goodbye. This is INSANE. I have never imagined it would get to this in a life time. How can management be so clueless? It seems that they are just cashing in those RSUs and waiting for a miracle meanwhile.

The Hughes Landing cars will arrive at the Spring campus parking garages in January 2022. Hughes Landing is a ghost town for the rest of 2021.

Remember when there was such a big parking problem they had to build additional parking on an existing garage and if you came in after 8:30 good luck. Such a stark comparison now…come in anytime and pick your favorite spot.

Probably because you get in at 7:30AM and leave after 4 PM. Never made sense to me when I was there. I would be one of the first people in the parking lot in the morning, and therefore the lot should have been filled with people that came in after me when leaving, but it was just as empty when I left.

I am at the campus most days. Some people are still working from home with kids out with COVID etc. I would say only 50-60% of the remaining employees are coming to campus each day. They had move some people temporarily back to Hughes Landing for the tax abatement.

Not much interest in commuting to just sit on Zoom or when no one in your group is at the campus either.

I am sure it really irked the management when people are not here.

Parking signs say about 4000 slots available.

I’m based elsewhere and went to campus recently. Parking garages are half empty. Pretty sure it’s not because people are carpooling more.

They are going to restack a few times as the Hughes landings folks move in (planned for months official as of today) and then they will close down two buildings and be near capacity

Those who are left may still be physically present but our minds and hearts left long ago and we are working to leave.

It feels good to be 56 with 19 years. If I don’t like what’s going on it’s adios.

Yup, every age group of rank and file employee I look at, are all openly looking and thinking of the time when they will be handed over the NSI. It's a PDS by PDS battle. No long term commitment. Jump as soon as you get a new opportunity- that's the motto these days
