I am remote on the west coast in Digital Channels and haven't heard a peep about relocation. Any idea when I should expect the other shoe to drop?

I’m on the west coast in Account Processing” (whatever that means) and was told last Friday that as of 11/1 I would be reporting to the Sunnyvale CA office. For no good reason. I’ve worked remote for Open/Fiserv for 14 years.
They can’t give an ultimatum to everyone at the same time…can’t have everyone jump ship at once. I think this will be a somewhat slow, methodical, surgical-like process. For some it will be weeks or months, for some a year-ish? I consider myself an optimistic person, but I also believe in being realistic. I’m waiting for word too and it all just really sucks.
I think the reason people are hopeful is that a large number of DC developers on the coast that losing would be intense, but those people have zero intention of relocating.
Considering that channels is no more special than cards, I would not anticipate that it will remain untouched by Frank's RTO diktats.
I mean, come on. How many times have people been hopeful, then disappointed by the reality of actual decisions at Fiserv VERSUS being people being pessimistic, then being pleasantly surprised at the new policy?
I actually can't think of a single time where the worst rumors didn't come true in some fashion eventually. I can't think of a time in the past two-three years that IC's have thought "gosh, I really like this new policy so much that it gives me #oneFiserv warm fuzzies!"
Put on your thinking caps, folks. Do you really think the people in channels will be the golden children of fiserv and get to work from home permanently, while everyone else gets caught up in the drudgery?
No news in my location either. This page talks alot, ive been waiting but im starting to think its never coming
