Recovery from the last big round of cuts

I personally think Intel has never recovered from the last big round of layoffs. Digging yourself out of that level of mistrust is essential to compete in this environment, but there will never be any trust for anyone working at the company for more than 5 years. That doesn't mean Intel will fold and go under, but they will never again be what they once were. : @1ylo+1dnaCFo9

Intel has ignored the impact of layoff decisions on business recovery efforts. I think that's the biggest reason why the company is still having a hard time recovering from the last big round of layoffs!?

A big problem is Intel’s inability to discern who the BS-ers and show the gumption to get rid of them. One guy who made PE 5 years ago should have been axed 10 years ago (or at least helped with some honesty so he could mend his ways instead of being protected by management). And there’s a long time CTO in one division who is apparently more powerful than ever who is about as useless as they come.

These situations aren’t hard to identify, so it must be a lack of guts.

The last big round of layoffs impacted a ton a people. I am not saying all deserved what happened, but I can count a few that were a waste of space. There was a great amount that were let go that were great employees and were assets to intel. I think the ACT was more less a witch hunt for some or local management didn’t like them.
After taking to people that have left, them seem really happy, no stress and making more money in their new jobs. I look at it know when is my time to get booted after 26 years of service.

It is not only about the 20,000+ people who got laid off, it is also about their families, husbands, wife's, children, mothers, furthers, grandmothers and grandfathers. Their lives have been destroyed by just a single vicious RELEASE's decision to get rid of those (mostly old) people. That is why you hear people talking about ACT almost daily. We count almost 1 million people that Intel hurt in one way or another. Certainly, it is a very bad company. BK should be in p--son some day.
