Most of, if not all, the operations staff (server, storage, virtualization, networking, etc.) all got moved off the Ascension contract and had to find other jobs within HCL. They switch you to hourly so you leave or you starve to death. That is how HCL can claim that they never layoff any of their staff.

Who got cut? Most of the Service Desk is still there or moved to other accounts... or is their doom impending. I think a lot of them have gotten really comfortable over at old HCL.

Yep, the majority of the AT folks HCL hired had their last day on Oct. 15th. The only ones HCL kept were people with an in-demand specialty such as Citrix which HCL apparently doesn't have enough of. They also presumably kept a handful of people to work with doctors and their IT issues since Ascension has always handled them with kid gloves. If I was anyone that HCL kept on staff, I would be using this time to find a new job because you can be sure that HCL is working on getting people trained in the specialties and they will lay you off if you are still there...

A lot of the people that HCL held onto and hired during the first round of layoffs have now been let go. They hold on to you for 1 year, suck as much information out of you as they can, and throw you to the curb.

After Ascension has ripped flesh from your body, you're bone.

Right glad someone said it. Gerry ain’t the decision maker in any of this just the trigger mean.

As for what’s coming….. keep your resume Polished.

I stand corrected then, but yet Gerry is the F'in trigger man. He stands all blame to this game as does Eduardo Conrado.. To those of us swimming in the wake of this corporate sourcing wave, we can wave the figurative finger to all of those M-F'rs doing this to us all right now. I don't give a flying F how terrible those idjits at HCL do at my job or the TM folks asbsorbing theirs. This is not my concern, it's G.L.'s. F him and F his decision causing us to find jobs for our families and to be pi---d off enough to post to this online discourse.

It's not Gerry, it's Ederola who is behind this. He saw that big pile of cash Ascension was sitting on and convinced the egos-that-be that he could revolutionize health tech! Stu Stu studio!

Research his previous ties to Google and these new partners in India.

Yeah Gerry's started a he-l of a twist in this offshore sourcing plan. I'm sure that BOTH Tech Mahindra AND HCL will be "laying off" (i.e., removing employees from the Ascension account by asking them to relocate geographically to other accounts of theirs) within due time.

This is yet another reason why Ascension Technologies can't be trusted. Once this Gerry CIO id--t leaves after he gets his bonus, there will be another one hired that will bring everyone back in more than likely. This is not a company anyone wanting to work at long-term can trust.

Are you talking about the former Ascencion Tech employees that went to work for HCL? If you are then all but a handful had their last day on Oct. 15th...
