Amazon is hiring seasonal workers right now. In my area, the starting pay is $18. The bonus is that a good chunk of seasonal employees transition to full time by the end of the season. It's not a guarantee, but if you're truly unhappy here then I think it's a risk worth taking.

Amazon may good an option for the young and nimble. They work you hard and nonstop for that pay. Here I could start with them sight unseen in a few days. But if you read the ads carefully, you'll see that the more traditional retail type jobs they have, pay only slightly more than Target to start. All the bonuses have a lot of fine print so they may be difficult to get.
The jobs that pay the best are warehouse, driver, loading planes & trucks, etc. Good opportunity for someone in good physical shape. I've thought about trying it as a life experience but I have an injury that would be made worse. I only know 1 person who has lasted there more than a short time and he's a driver with a family.
