Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

Cenovus devalues is employees

Due to inflation, food prices are up almost four per cent over September 2020, according to the latest Consumer Price Index released by Statistics Canada. At the same time oil prices are up to $70-$80 a barrel.

Now what would you like to bet that our CLT comes after the employees bonuses for reductions as part of this realignment and oddly enough I also bet the managers and higher are not reduced at all. I mean look at all these Husky Senior Managers, so now Cenovus Group Leads and Managers are all of a sudden promoted to Senior Managers as well.

Alex talks the talk but when it comes to looking after his employees vs management he always chooses management and screws the employees.

What are you even talking about? lol. No money has been taken away and in fact you probably have more and if you actually think your bonus is fixed, then sorry sweetie, you need a reality check.

Alex is a bad politician (or a good one if you are naive enough to believe his words to employees).

Of course the bonus will be low to keep within the run rate integration savings until you get paid the extra 20% in 2023. Also, many have already been paid retention bonuses which vest in January 2022.

My point here is our cost of living is increasing like crazy, the company is making good money, we put how much effort in to find over $1 billion dollar in savings and despite this we all know the CLT will find a way to take money away from us employees. Step 1 is to hit the bonuses but only for those below a manager level.
