I applied for a position at my old store and when I checked the next day, it was automatically withdrawn. I left on good terms and did the proper separation procedures.

I am a red badge. If you applied at your former location, it’s possible someone saw your name and rejected you. I’ve done it with former colleagues who simply were not reliable colleagues previously. Just because you left the proper way doesn’t mean they want you back. Try a different location.
If you are lucky yes they did.
Call the store. Yes the hiring system is a hot mess. The AST or MBA will find your application and figure out what to do.
It’s not you, it’s the broken new hiring system. At least 10 times a day the same job can get posted and unposted automatically and if you have applied to one that gets unposted then your application just disappears and you have to reapply.
