Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Unreasonable deadlines

Is it just happening to me or are the deadlines at Dell becoming increasingly unreasonable? I have a lot of experience thanks to which I still somehow manage to meet the deadlines, but I have a colleague who did not come here so long ago and who is looking for a new job because the pressure is really too much.

Dell HR is on the mic

If you don't want to have pressure you live in a world of delusion.

There is no more pressure now than there was 40, 30, 20 or 10 years ago in the computer industry. Company needs are company needs and if the executives determine that there are some immediate company needs that should be addressed then they will order people to meet those needs.

I have worked for companies that have meet those needs and succeeded and companies that didn't meet the needs and the companies failed.

If you don't want to have pressure you live in a world of delusion.

you the sales folks just keep complaining .. Somebody here told you to learn to live without meeting the 100% targets.. Go to meeting, be active, do your homework.. The days of 100% targets are over for near future.. Complainers..

Give me more to go off of, I'm in sales and I have no idea how you're feeling.

The great resignation movement of 2021continues. People no longer want to be servile grunts of mega corporations. COVID has shifted people's priorities and aspire for true workforce transformation. Less control of their lives from tech giants and overreaching governments.
