Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Motivation ground zero

Who in these circumstances can be focused on work and be productive?

How does Fiserv expect me to give 120 percent of myself when there is chaos all around me?

During all these years I’ve been here, I don’t believe I’ve ever had less motivation to work. How do I find motivation? Don't know, it's a tough one. Management probably thinks that motivation is not even necessary.

Right now, most of us are working just hard enough to not get fired (since there's no raises coming if you're not uprooting your life) so we can cash out our severance and never look back.

Hearing stories of people who are being forced out because the center near them closed, they were asked to work remote for years only to have the rug pulled out from them is nauseating. There is no motivation for anyone, people who went back to an office, the people who were allowed to WFH (not many) and then the short timers being asked to train their replacement. It's a joke. Office people are doing less with more distractions, WFH folks cannot focus on their job knowing teammates will be lost and they will bear the brunt of the extra work and the short timers don't and shouldn't give a duck anymore. Fiserv has created the worst possible scenario for themselves all because the CEO has his head so far up his azz it's ridiculous. Clients will be leaving by the dozens when they will lose their support, system stability and overall product quality. Such a sad state of affairs.

Man, I agree. The distractions are over the top. I want to write some negative stuff, but the real good side of me will tell you to control what you can and let go of that which you can't. Find your place either within the org or external and make it make sense. Hang in there and you will be fine. I promise.

Agreed, I would like to stay on until my end date but it's over a year away. What's my motivation to do a good job when you know it's coming to an end. Morale is at an all time low and it's getting increasingly difficult to work when so many people don't give AF.
