Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Farewell!

Finally received an offer with a remote friendly atmosphere.
38% raise and benefits that blow away what I had at BofA!!

I've spent 14 years here without even trying to leave. With all the cr-p lately and lies about "we care about our employees" when compensation is just an atrocity and their stance on return to office...it was time to go!

It took me 5 months, but I'm so happy and thankful for the bank for pushing me to the edge. My family and I will be packing out of miserable NYC and leaving to Florida!

It's no use staying here at all. Leave..tell your friends to leave and help each other out on the other side. I'm sure this bank will survive with second and third tier talent via D&I ornaments or visa worker hostages.

I wish you all the best of luck!

D&I makes it impossible to get rid of poor performers because HR and management is afraid of getting sued. I’ve seen cases where it works but I’ve seen WAAAAAY more where it doesn’t and it brings down the performance and moral of the entire team.

@jou+1dxarpSi - level the playing field, yes, get a job just because you're bl@ck (from America, not to be confused with good people from Africa) and easily "offended", not necessarily qualified.
It's finally beginning to show (at a national level) how great this D&I really is.

I'm in agreement that BofA is nit looking out for their empliyees when it comes to their health, and I wish you much success, but am totally offended by your very racist comment.

You assume D&I candidates can't be talented.

For years I've seen people hired at BofA because of who they know or what college or fraternity they belong to. D&I levels the playing field.

Took me 6 months, just put in notice this week and start at new place next month. Benefits are similar tier but 1/4 the cost. A lot of the BofA benefits are great but not used or applicable to 100% of employees. Would rather have higher base comp than ancillary benefits.

"benefits that blow away what I had at BofA"

I'm curious at what they are as the banks benefits are top tier.

On second month. Lots of job postings but applying into a black ho-e it seems.
I'm very happy for you and I hope I will be following your footsteps soon.
The culture of this bank has really gone from worse to worst. It's not even a mgr thing which leads people to quit. It's just the bank and overall treatment of employees. COVID-19 has changed people's mindset and priorities.

I'll take a paycut to leave this dumpster fire.
