Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Worthless Management

It's truly pathetic when you are given (not earned) a management role. She meets with you ONLY to regurgitate EXACTLY what you told her to do as IF it's her idea or DIRECTION... What a total piece of sh-t. Her past completely explains everything! She Absolutely has NO ethics or integrity! KARMA

Always ask 4 questions-

1: why do most of the people that leave your company end up leaving?

2: what is something about your company you are trying to improve?

3: what's the biggest barrier to that improvement?

  1. Why should I work here?

The simp interviewers don't expect these questions, so they don't prepare and you can tell if they are BSing you.

the first one shows what's wrong with it from an employee standpoint

the second tells you what's wrong with it from a management standpoint

the third tells you what's wrong with your future boss's boss

the forth tells you what's how they word things, if they are liars, if they are manipulative and use corporate American psych ops

Would add for the company interviews-ask THEM for at least 3 references of former employees. That way you get to do some checking on how they treated their former employees, etc... Granted the corporation may 'cherry pick' but maybe you can get some perspective. Also check out their financials--ask for them (since they want credit checks, ur--e checks etc) for us--see how healthy their company is and if they're in debt. Ask the HR ladies -girls these questions.

Questions to ask if you are interviewing there:

Why should I work for you? What does the organization bring to the table? What's the worst thing with this organization?

If minimum wage didn't exist, what would you pay me? How many employees former and present, have filed lawsuits against the company in the past 3 years?

What are the consequences of poor work effort? What are the rewards of a good work effort? Do I get stock/ownership shares? Partnership? Can I vote who sits on the Board. Can I rate/evaluate my boss and their boss and can terminate them for cause?

Do I get an employment agreement?

No more US wage slaves. Jobs with justice. Stand up for yourselves.

Quit after 3rd day.

So I had recently gotten a new job at the place I was hired at $23.72 per hour, which was a significant decrease from my last job, but I needed the money because of health care insurances and 5 figs of student loans. (I know, stupid-got brainwashed into the fake American dream thing).

I had a short training shift where we watched videos before my first day. I was scheduled from 8 am until 4:30pm. I got there in the morning and met my trainer, who informed me that because people had called out that day, I was going to have to stay until 6:30 pm. Whatever, I needed money so I said okay. I get maybe an hour of training before my trainer leaves for the day and I was just tossed into the deep end.

I work as well as I can with the limited knowledge I was given. Halfway through, I ask the manager if I could take my lunch break then. She tells me that since I'm training, I wasn't "entitled" to lunch breaks. I tell her that since I'm diabetic, I have to take a break and eat something so I don't pass out. She scoffs and tells me I can have 5 minutes to get a pastry, which I would have to pay for, and eat. I tell her that I can't afford any of the pastries due all the health care bills and student loans, and needed the full 45 minute break to go home (I live close to the store, literally a 2 minute walk) so I could make something to eat. She reiterates that since I'm training, I'm not entitled to a break that day. Defeated, I just go back to work and finish out the day, praying I didn't collapse. Why don't we have employment rights for mandated lunch AND rest breaks in this country?

In the last hour of the shift, however, I got extremely nauseous and light headed. I try to power through, but I end up spending the last half an hour on the floor of the bathroom, throwing up the nothing that was in my body since I hadn't eaten. I pull myself up and clean up a little before I walked back into the office area where the manager was. She asks where I've been for the last 45 minutes and tells me that it's unprofessional and rude to disappear without telling anyone. I look her dead in the eyes as I pull my three ring corporate rules binder and slam it forcefully on the desk and walk out without saying a word. I say I am not a robot, nor your drone for profits.

As soon as I got home, I texted her that I quit because of her refusal to accommodate my medical needs and being treated like a modern day slave. She of course tries calling multiple times before she sends me the "I'm sorry I f---d up, please don't quit, I promise I'll do better" text. I inform her again that my decision is final and any further communications will be considered harassment.

That was two weeks ago and I still haven't come down off that high. It's about time we stand up to the US corporate overlords and their disgusting treatment of American citizen labor.

There are a number of OptumRX audit departments. Client, pharmacy, external, internal. Blah, blah, blah. I’m thinking CP or AY are the culprits.

Housecalls Management does the same. You do the work she takes the credit and you get a mediocre MAP score. Speak up and your told someone is waiting for your job. If they don't like you they start surveying members to make certain you did everything docucumented in the chart. You get threatened and fired if your 5 foot and can't measure a 6'2 member but document height without writing an extra note saying height is stated not measured. Very idealist not realistic.

Use to be a place where you can network, build your brand, and find that next job opportunity. Fast forward to now, it’s turned into social justice, identity politics, corporate virtue signaling and speak up/out about supposed injustices. Within corporations you have top down "critical race theory" nonsense and brainwashing in the form of diversity & inclusion. Good luck on the USA sinking ship. Hopefully the empire doesn't export their failures to other places...oh wait they do and did! That's why it's antiwork
