Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Jan 4 Vax Date

Just got the email saying we need to provide proof of vaccination/exemption between Jan 4-Feb 1. Does anyone know if you choose not to get the vaccine, or apply for a religious exemption what will happen?

Well it's been stated many times that if you choose not to get it, you get put on unpaid leave. Period. If you apply and get exemption, which by now you should know as they were sending those out starting on November 15th, they will give you further instruction. The approval I've personally seen state that approval requires further pending, and up to 45 days from January 4th, continue to work remotely until you receive further instruction.

Now this also implies you're currently a hybrid or home based employee. If you work within a retail store, for example, your job cannot be done remotely and I do not see an exemption being approved, or if it is, they can still place you unpaid leave as part of the "accommodation." All this info can be found online within the Covid section of vzweb
