Old heads will know that the stoneywood drilling department (which moved to kirkhill) was central to aberdeen’s terminal decline. Lies, cover ups, bs, revenue loss, etc got too much for everyone that BH snr management took the decision to shut down aberdeen office. Really poor management by the drilling dept.

Not surprised when the organization gives zero Fs about improving the way to do things. An organization with no vision, no action plan, no improvement plan, etc is only destined to fail. They’re lucky they have a few talented folks that “get” the business and truly cares for the customer.

The business has to be customer-focused. It’s a service company GOD-Dangit!!

The fracking dept were heading for a 600 well integrated services & fracking project but the project was lost after the drilling dept botched the first ho-e section on the first of 3 initial frac wells before the 600 well project was awarded. Of course this was a huge clusterfxxx for baker Aberdeen so records have probably disappeared due to embarrassment.
Was there an investigation? Probably not. This work would have kept a lot of people employed for a long time with good revenue. Yes, I agree, the fracking dept should have got a lot more work but for unfortunate events.
