This is not a rumor… UPS will lay-off about 300 people in various Finance & Accounting positions in Louisville, Chicago, and Scranton.
Employees will be let go between February and May.

Yes..that is true...but that 300 is only in one location. Total is about 1000 supervisors and admin employees in 4 locations.

I was laid off in Feb of 2021, along with 200+ across my specific job function. The customers are suffering, I still talk to many of them and they hate UPS now.
I'm one who was laid off 2 years ago in salt lake City. They are going to keep going. That's why they had the stop to retirement in 2023 pension meeting with all of us. Then they let go most of us then last year they did more. I imagine by the time 2023 is done, all the office work will be offshore. I wish the real founders were still around. I bet they are super upset with how such a great place to work became only for if you live out of the US. We don't matter as people. It's all about the bottom line. They don't care about anyone as a person. They care about numbers. Period. I'm sorry to all of you who have to go through this the same way. It was awful. Especially when you live for your job cuz you love it so much and they cr-p in your face with a smile. I'm very sorry to hear this.
