Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Can I do anything so they don't cut my hours?

I'm anxious about getting my hours cut because that's something that would be the worst thing for me at the moment. So I wonder if those whose hours were cut are mostly those who are not productive and who are lazy, or it doesn't matter how good the employees they are? I would try to work even harder just to know that they won't cut my hours.

Quarter and find a (much) better job. There's plenty of work out there. Good help is on demand. This is not a sparky response here, I'm just being honest.

Why hang around this sh-t ho-e begging for more hours when employers everywhere are begging for good help and most are willing to pay good money for it.

Definitely reach out to your manager and others that you know that you are interested in picking up hours. Depending on your stores staffing they could use it. Keep your availability open. If you aren't full time and want it, that's the way to go. Get your name, face and willingness out there. And keep an eye and ear out for openings then apply.

Tell them to call you when they need extra help with call offs. Train in other areas.

Ask to cross train in other areas. Make yourself valuable and someone they can count on.
