Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Avoiding big companies

I used to work in a small company and I had a great time working there. I came to PepsiCo only because I thought I would have more opportunities to grow. However, it turned out that this was not the case. And I'm more than disappointed.

Now I am looking for a new job and again I am looking for a smaller company. It seems to me that people in such companies feel much more valued?

Took a similar job managing accounts at a different company. My total compensation was increased 25% immediately. Half of the workload also.

Have a second interview with a smaller privately held company this week. For starters, I was told the prospective pay amounts to a nearly 20% increase over what PepsiCo pays for the same job in the same location. Not to mention, so far as I can tell, the company is not woke and subject to the social dictums of the media. Nowhere is perfect and if I do succeed in joining this new organization I am sure to find many things to my distaste. But the bottom line is most of us work for primarily money and satisfaction. And PepsiCo fails miserably at both of those.
