Should I keep looking elsewhere? From what I gather here it seems the hardware guys are at higher risk of LRs... to what extent is this true?
Would I be making a mistake accepting an offer from Cisco UK?

Depends on your career goal. I work at Cisco U.K. and am closely associated with the Data Analytics team . In terms of core D&A, there aren’t a lot to do here besides TAC related work and some customer focussed marketing stuff. Mind you , volume of data is huge, but arguably uninteresting. In other words relatively boring work unless such stuff interests you. I would imagine that if you are looking to get some experience under your belt, get a couple of years before you move to a better organisation, then this could be a decent option. If you are already experienced in the data analytics industtt then I am not sure that this would be THE job for you …. Maybe A job.
Nothing is guaranteed in life except death and taxes. Take the offer, see for yourself and don't believe the stories you read here. Many stem from bitter boomers that are unable to cope with change and are upset someone is fiddling with their cruise control button.
Csco will use your youth then sp-t you out.
