Thread regarding Belk layoffs

INVENTORY schedule for managers is CRAZY!

I have to close the store, be back at 3AM, work a ten hour shift, go home for five hours, then be back at 5 to close the store again. This is not gonna happen. store manager needs to pick up the slack. I’m gonna quit!

Seek ye a manager's position at Big Lots! No joke! The pay is decent, stress level is low. 1-2 deliveries per week with freight dealt with in less than 2 days. Only catch is the furniture department is full service with no commission. The benefits are bare minimum, though there is some fund matching for 401k. But...

The BEST part: IF you're a manager, you can schedule yourself upwards of 53-56 hours per week.. BUT!! You can show up and leave whenever you want and STILL collect the overtime! Think of all that time-and-a-half if you're around $20-26 per hour! AND you don't have to BE THERE!!

2 hour lunch? Go for it! Gotta "go get something for the store at Lowe's"? Take a hour or so (and come back with something like a roll of VERY necessary painting tape). Need to finish your lunch once you're back? Just go to the warehouse and relax on one of the sofas. Personal calls? Long chats with visiting friends? Delegating tasks? You OWN it!!

It is all across the board and the store doesn't care, since it's all closeout/liquidation merch that equals about 200% markup profit based on the cost of bulk buying. And the part timers are paid so low ($10 and less, with hours of 18 and below per week), the profit margin is through the roof on the slowest of days.

Wanna vape your THC right in the store? No probs! Toke up! Edibles permitted in states where allowed-- only you gotta share! Co----e parties for upper management ONLY and ONLY in the cash room.

Plus (and this is for the mysogynistic playas), the store encourages hiring 16-year-old girls as cashiers b/c the company CEO, is an obese pervert and encourages having something "good to look at" in his stores! Imagine the perks of that?!! The "grooming" and the nights closing alone! The dates! The savings on employee benefits! The DATES!! Nudge, nudge!! Watch them managers watch them cameras in their lil' secret rooms! Listen to all that gossip and what they intend for those young'uns.. Ohhhh, yeahhhhh!

Bring out the Barry White records.. Every day is a PAR-TAYYYY!!! The recorded in-store ads say so!

Belk managers are like cheap greyhound buses, you miss one another one coming right along to apply for the stupid job. Next!

Understand one thing clear at One Belk. We are the leaders you are not. We think and use you as dirty cockroaches in our store as we please. Don’t like us Taco Bell is hiring workers at $16.00/Hour so please get out and stop whining babies!

If you love to work inventory and love Belk, we need you! Otherwise don’t let the door hit your a$$ on the way out! Shut up and get ready counting dirty monies for us.

Because Belk is a leaking Titanic is about to sink after inventory. That is why executive leaders don’t care less about you or your feeling.
