Refuse to Layoff your Team Members - For the Good of All

Just like the rest of the world, at Cisco - the workers are many, the "Overlords" are few.

The leadership of Cisco - is no longer my leadership. (Until or unless they change their ways). They have proven themselves to be inept. Do you really want to follow their pathway into the dirt?

We have an opportunity to organize, and lead our groups and our teams. We can take over this company from the inside, and turn it into something thoughtful, reasonable, and successful. We the people - can turn Cisco to a new path.

Step 1) Refuse to layoff anyone. Period. Ever. When asked by the overlords "why"? Cite the Cisco Family. Family does not abandon family. We either find them a new position, or we retrain them.

Step 2) Organize among your friends and run this company your way. Do not take orders from above. Do not follow the expectations given to you. Tiny unions within your trusted associates will keep you safe, find you new positions when you need them, and may save this company and our jobs.

Step 3) Make radical change - and protect your fellows. Do what works, not what wallstreet wants. Do what is good for the customer and our employees - not what is good for the street. Protect your personal union at any costs.

Step 4) Enjoy the Awakening. Welcome to Paradise. This is the real change that is coming. Natural organization of real people, making our worlds better together. They woke the lions, did they prepare for the teeth? The Awakening is not the end of the story - its the new beginning. We create what we want - together.

Step 5) Never Give Up and Win. You're stronger than you know.

You may have been saved from a couple rounds, but you have to be on the next one. You seem too unstable now.

I'll be honest. If you are at this point it is time to close up shop and find another job/company. You can't fight the company no matter how much you might want to. All you will do is wear yourself down and stress yourself out even more. Life is too short to try to change the things that are 100% out of your control.

Makes sense to me. I've got a low level leadership role and a good group of people around me, probably can do something with them.
