Cenovus claims to be a P50 for total compensation.
If that’s true, then who in town pays more?? Is there anyone in HR who can provide insight.?

Not sure if you are from HR (internet is a funny place) but that would be a typical response from HR when questioned or called out (the audacity!!) Lots to unpack from your post: 1) peer companies offer superior compensation. Deal with it 2) undermining and mocking people (are you aware that industry reads this page?) about the "hundreds" of resumes submitted

CVE HR most certainly monitor this site looking for ammo to build cases against employees if they reveal too much and doxx themselves. Don't kid yourself. It isn't a matter of being full of oneself, it is knowing how technology/social media work, and how many companies in town are desperate and use underhanded/new tactics to get rid of people.

Suncor and Imperial have a higher base if you can land a job there.
I think Devon, PetroCanada, Exxon, Imperial and Suncor pay/paid higher than average; obviously CNRL, Nexen, Repsol, Obsidian and the intermediates/juniors pay less well.
Cenovus might target P50 for base salary, but bonuses and total comp are higher the P50. The legacy Husky staff have confirmed that with several posts on their page. That being said, Cenovus did lower some bonus targets to more closely align with the lower Husky bonus targets.
Like HR would ever been posting on here to give staff the upper hand or leverage. Like the spineless sycophants they are, I suspect they look at this place trying to identify posters.
