I debated for a long time whether to stay here for a while longer. I am leaving thanks to my manager, who helped me be as confident as possible in my decision to leave anyway. I don't know what this man will end up doing when there are no longer any people here who intend to continue to endure his unreasonable micromanagement? Isn't he afraid that he will become redundant that way?

My manager keeps telling me to look elsewhere.

I should thank her for being honest I guess.
He will never have to do the work you do, so why does he care if he scares away all of his employees. Managers who act this way to their employees never believe they are the problem.
