There are too many managers, too few leaders. I do not believe that the number of managers here will ever decrease significantly, but I wonder how many of them do you think are redundant at Schwaab?
Someone said if 300 project managers were cut they wouldn’t even notice and I absolutely agree.

This reminds me of the joke that it always helps to get ten project managers together when you have some technical problem to solve in production. Because that always helps.
Im a Senior Manager that manages 10 other Senior Managers that are developers. I report to a Director who reports to a Managing Director, of the steak sauce variety. Yeah an A3. The org chart for us looks ridiculous.
I am one of the sr manager for the shake of title.. I am a tech lead and they end up changing all the individual contributor title to manger or sr manager. Don’t get confused with the title.
How much of this is related to the new titles, though? I have a team of individual contributors all of whom have "manager" in their title.
