Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Horrendous place to work

The leadership is incompetent and driving the company to the ground. Most of the people I work with have no idea what they are doing. For some reason, management is perfectly okay with this. If you're one of the "lucky" ones who know what they're doing, you end up being buried in work. This is just an atrocious place to work.

Feel free to leave anytime. You are in an at will employment situation, no one is forcing you to stay.

Half the good people leave because of the toxic atmosphere and constant layoffs so what do you expect?

2% lol. In my department there are no raises. I'm essentially making the same as when I started here. Tried switching departments and applying for roughly 15 positions and not even a phone screen. This company is garbage and I feel embarrassed for ever being excited about starting a job here.

You begin to wonder if PZ's plan is actually to turn this company around or is the plan to just collect his $18,000,000 per year as long as possible like BD did. BD walked off with a cool $100,000,000 plus for his five years of failures.

Promoting friends over tenured talent is a great way to demoralize an organization. AIG never learns from their mistakes or maybe they just don't care because upper management will walk away with fortune either way.

Enjoy your 2% raise worker bees. PZ will relish in his 200% sti for his outstanding performance!
