Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Learn to deal with it

So many here really have to develop a thicker skin ASAP. The things some of you are complaining about are nothing but a fact of life. This is a job. You do this in exchange for money that helps you survive. Nobody loves their job, other than a minuscule percentage of the lucky ones. Learn to deal with bad managers and high volumes of work. Learn to deal with nepotism because it exists everywhere. The sooner you accept that things are the same everywhere, the happier you'll be.

It is a 2 way street, you learn to deal with the low morale of employees. BNY doesn't care about me, why should I care about BNY. I don't give a craap of what you saying. I just keep doing what I feel like.

OP - you sound like a boomer.

Just deal with it?
No. The reason things are so bad is because everyone keeps going along to get along.

You do this in exchange for money that helps you survive.
Working your bu-t off to earn pennies is stupid. The USA is currently at 29 trillion in debt. Stop digging your own grave, get out of the system, grow your own food, be self reliant.

For anyone still reading, if you haven't figured out why governments around the world are ki----g people via shots, they are bankrupt and prepping for the collapse. The pensions cannot be paid. Buckle up buckaroos.

No, people can just vote with their feet and leave, which is exactly what they're doing.

I kind of like my job but I still think the management is outright indecent to put it as lightly as possible, and do not deserve their employees.

No dipsh*t, things are not the same everywhere. They weren't even the same here at BNYM until my job was made more difficult and the workload intensified just over the last couple of years. I never "loved" my job before these changes, but I didn't hate it, either. It's when our group adopted a philosphy that everyone was expected to "do more...with less" that I began to hate it. And it's when it became apparent that the "with less" portion of that doctrine related to our salaries (as in meager, nearly non-existent raises), my tolerance for the bank turned to outright contempt.
