COVID Side Effects Are Great

Meaning, since I've been working from home the last 2 years I've seen my son every morning before he heads to school. I also see him when he gets home from school every day. I've reconnected with my wife of 20+ years.

I think this was the reset families needed, focusing back on whats important in life, family. So much wasted time sitting in traffic commuting to and from the office over the decades.

I think it can be rough on families with school aged children when the kids are distance learning but YES YES YES this time at home has been a wonder for our family too. My wife and I spend actual quality time together during the week. Who’d have thoughts my teenagers would be smiling and laughing on a Wednesday night while we play board games?

I like working in the office to get away from my family. We're closer together apart. You spend too much time with your family, it suffocates you. See if you still feel the same way in the next year or two, if you're still working from home. Chances are, you'll be renting a coworking space or working most of your time at a coffee shop or bar if not itching to get back to the office regardless if the Tau variant is raging out there.

(And here come the downvotes)
