Waiting bonus to leave?

I wonder how many such cases are there, people who are just waiting to get a bonus before they leave. I think there will be a lot of resignations, judging by my colleagues' comments. I am also just waiting for the bonus and then goodbye CS.

Blue here. That retention bonus sounds awesome IMO. You gotta stick around till CD1 though right? Having been here a while, I just don't see things are as bad as a lot of Green make it out be; to be fair from the posts here. I have worked with Green, and just have to say the ones I have worked with are great people. They don't seem to to complain, from what I can tell. We're all just heads down focussed on our work.

Sure CD1, may be a miss. But just do you part as best as you can. In the end its just a job. And we mostly get a good compensation.

Many Green are sticking around for their retention bonus. Many don't have such a bad working environment. Many are looking to find a place in the new company and keen to make it work. Maybe 3-10% attrition from the Green side after the bonus payout I would think.

finally, then all the Green whiners will be gone and the rest of us can go back to normal.

@1apj+1eG8r2Qb Agreed. Only an id--t would give notice or quit before bonus is in the bank account at this point. But I would not be surprised in the least to see a number quit (or just walkout and never come back) on bonus payout date. The tension has been bubbling ever since the deal was signed.

Can a blue person provide more details on the rules of being eligible for the annual bonus?

Does giving notice the week if payout put it in jeopardy, if notice is two weeks? Or is it safer to give notice after the payout is in the bank?

Every green person will be gone by April. At least the ones that still have ambition.

I’ve seen people leave on bonus day and that was way before Covid.

I'm waiting for that 150-lb box of Post-It notes to arrive at the office.
Then I am done.
I can posh those squares @ $5 a pop on the street.
(I don't mean the pop-up post-its. Those would get you whacked.)
Bonus - own us. I don't think so.
