Thread regarding VMware layoffs

My manager, HR, and everybody else in charge of raises are id--ts

We just lost a team member who got another job but was willing to stay if VMware matched the offer. They refused. I tried to talk to my manager and explain that losing her will affect our project significantly, but he didn't care. This will possibly cost us a customer in the end, but nobody seems to care. Not to mention that our workload will increase once again, and we simply can't take any more. This is such a colossally bad move and I can't wait for them to find out.

Dont be mean to us. CPBU should be at least the runner up in this list. not enough non indians to say anything.look at how the failures in releases that had to be recalled.

If said person left but would stay if VMware matches the offer then he is leaving for the wrong reason - i.e. just for the sake of money. Grass is always greener and losing your tenure, starting a new probation during this time is a stupid move imho.

In out BU, at least 2 to 4 are leaving each month. The managers immediately replace with much lower experience but same title to cover their as--s.

They are leaving because the stock is in the toilet and the product is BAD.

This has happened in my team as well. Many are leaving due to the cheap toxic hostile managers.
