Judging from the behavior that the company leadership has had towards Singapore in the last year or so there is no doubt in my mind that the general goal is to gradually shrink the operations and thin the headcount, going towards total abandonment and total shift of operations to other countries.
My only dilemma is how fast do they plan to finish this process. Are we talking about a slow process or something they plan to complete in a couple of years. Will we, the employees, see the abandonment or a radical shrink in the company footprint in Singapore in our working era? (I’m 55 years old and a 17 year employee of EM).

At 55 . I suggest you save money like he-l from now. The ship wreck is likely to happen in 5 yrs time based on track record on the caveat that there is no crisis like tat of covid otherwise the ship wreck will happen even faster . At 55 yrs old , u shd work long enough that XOm makes moc often it will put the cart before the horse . Tat is , mgmt is eager to cut cost fast before the proper change mgmt falls in place . Go and check around with your peers of Lao Jiao (old birds)
NO
You tell me, I don't know. It is impossible to know, my friend.
You literally just guessed that XOM will abandon Singapore for whatever reason then you’re asking people how fast it will happen like your guess is true somehow lol
