Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

I am becoming indifferent to the rumors of layoffs

I hear about cuts all the time so I have become indifferent to rumors that layoffs are around the corner because here everyone can be sure of only one thing - that no one's job is safe. The main question is how to be productive in such an atmosphere where everyone knows that the very next day they can be cut?

And with those record profits in 2020, what was the annual raise you got at the beginning of 2021??

2020 PepsiCo shows great profits with food companies sales aided by Covid.
2021 increases prices due to raw goods shortages and stock holders win again.
2022 will be consolidations that reduce head counts and keep stock price climbing.

Why in the world would you be worrying about how to be productive in that kind of environment, where you can be cut at any time ? Management and the company don't care about you, so be the same way and don't care about them.
