This company does not care about employees. It might have at one time, but not anymore. Employees are now considered expendable and getting rid of them is used as a tool to boost short-term profitability and drive the share price up. Nobody on the ELT is thinking more than a year out. Ford's future looks bleak.

Hah ha OP you crack me up you must not have grown up in Michigan or nearby States. Everyone here knows the Auto Industry Cycles through growth and mass layoffs. Keep crying though the rest of us keep our resumes up to date and either move on without being laid off or take the layoff and make opportunity elsewhere.

Actions speak louder than words. Ford “leadership” and BOD have repeatedly spoken loudly. The Ford PR continual media blitz is just a lot of hot air.

Forget about Indians not buying Ford cars, Jimbo is trying to sell all the plant and machinery and the rest as part of the leaving India mission, and even those things do not have any takers there. SMH.
What?!? They don't?!? But Billy and Jimbo say in every meeting that we are their most valuable asset! And that Ford isn't a company but a family! They wouldn't lie!!
And this is new? It started 22 years ago with Visteon and parting out the company. Employees were led to believe that Visteon was a great deal only to be cut from the workforce. Maybe you don’t remember but Ford stock was $60 a share at one time
They should at least care to the extent that their employees and their employees' families tend to buy their vehicles. They're moving jobs to India but India doesn't buy Ford.
