As a Green, there truly are some superior people on the Green tech side. No doubt. Just about all I know though are generally modest and would not boast on a forum. And they would also recognize top talent on the other side as well. And they would also recognize and acknowledge the deficiencies on the Green side. So I kind of doubt you are one of the top ones.

We, Green, are not smug. We are simply superior, especially compared to Blue. With all the Blue that I have worked, not impressed is an understatement. Green generally is smarter, more productive, and we just produce more, in half the time. Blue mistakes the good qualities of Green as being smug. I say they are just scared.

@2bwd+1eKVbRGM - Our smugness, err.... confidence, has nothing to do w/ the acquisition OF TD Ameritrade BY Schwab. It's not been the first, nor last, time a sub-par company has acquired a far superior competitor and stripped the company for parts. Think of Express Scripts acquisition of MedCo Health Solutions. It has to do w/ decisions by the board do cash out.

As a Green, that's not true at all. I have come across top guys at Blue. I have also seen areas where some of the things Blue does are more thorough, partly because they have more people. Not saying that is always the case.

On the Green side there are also a couple areas where we don't have a fully baked way of doing things. And some of this in in orgs where people were lauding their leaders on this site.

I'm not talking about the the app space. Maybe there some of our applications and developers are top notch.

But like the one Blue guy said, there are top people on both sides. If you happen to have to deal with a jerk, yes that sucks and is not called for.

You green guys are the funniest employees whose company has been bought out. The attitude, smugness, and super high opinion of yourselves makes you wonder how TD Ameritrade could have ever been taken over.

Totally with you there. The low performers are all Blue for sure. It takes like 2 or 3 Blue to do the job of a Green. I am talking about 2 or 3 senior level Blue to do the job of a lowly Green associate. Lowly only in title, but a deliverer.

After jettisoning super low performers, we will only have Green left. Provided enough stay. However, it may feel like TDA again, but without bad management. There is hope.

Jettison super low performers? Then who would be left?

Leadership/management will be using this round to jettison super low performers. That’s my guess.

Can we have a group vote on which leader to layoff that will allow Schwab to be better?

I nominate Tim Heier

Who knows - there was minimal to none 4th quarter layoff and there are over 900 jobs posted - why are they laying off, especially with the reviews on this board.

Possibly next round is Feb 7. They said the reductions are quarterly and they generally have been the first week of the 2nd month in the quarter.
