I know almost no one would like to be rehired after their experience here. At least I don't have any colleagues who were cut and then rehired. ______ However, I would like to know what's the percentage of those who were rehired after being laid off in the previous year. And what is Allstate like when it comes to rehiring?

Almost all of us in underwriting were hired back and at slightly higher pay and the timing most of us got to keep all our severance. 2020's layoff was just to meant for end of year numbers and savings to look good on the books for shareholders. Home office duped the shareholders into seeing manipulated cost savings. We were told when we were laid off that we would be brought back.
If your company laid you off, wouldn't you be so pi$$ed that if for any reason, you get rehired and work for them again - you will sabotage the business with all your might? Then dance a jig over the sunset.
Why would you want to work hard for a company that laid you off? Sure - maybe you will go back for a paycheck if you don't find anything else - but there will always be a grudge and bitterness there that make you wish the company will crumble. And you will help it along.
I know of 3 people who were rehired after being laid off in auto claims about 6 months after being let go (late 2020) when Allstate realized they laid off way too many adjusters. One quit a couple months after coming back because the workload was double compared to when he left. The other two regret coming back and moved into virtual assist total loss department from the field .
