HON-666 wants to make more PPE and especially N-95 masks for Brandon. These masks are now being pushed by the CDC, as they admitted on Friday what science has shown all along, that cloth masks don't stop the transmission of aerosol borne viruses. Follow the money!

Small businesses (99 employees or less) will face $10,000 per employee violation.
Medium & big businesses will face $50,000 per employee violation.

Government entities may not require COVID-19 vaccinations of anyone, including employees.
$5 million for the Attorney General to investigate complaints.

Our nation was founded on the principal ideals of individual liberty and freedom from tyrannical rules. Before the politicization of the Wuhan virus and the unconstitutional Biden mandates I dare say that no company in the USA had ever thought of coercing their employees to choose between their jobs or an impotent and irreversible medical treatment. I dare say that no company in the USA had ever had the nerve to discriminate against and punish a subset of their employees by making them choose between their jobs or employee-paid weekly testing against their will. These choices are a direct as----t on our traditional American values that I believe most Americans and traditional American companies recognize. Many elitists and multinational corporations I think not so much. As Americans I say we should firmly resist and continue to petition for future laws against such intrusions and infringements. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Why would anyone want to mandate 3 vaccines (1) for a virus that is over 99% survivable (2) that were developed for a variant [alpha?] that is no longer prevalent (3) that are so ineffective that boosters are being hyped (4) that have been proven to cause blood clots and myocarditis and other harmful side effects in so many people? Honeywell expects its employees to make rational, logical, scientific decisions and change course when circumstances dictate, yet the top level leadership at Honeywell is sticking with an illegal and political mandate for injecting a defective vaccine product imposed by a tyrant.

Honeywell weekly testing is only required of the un-vaxxed or in other words only for those who received valid religious or medical exemptions. Those who receive exemptions are not supposed to be treated any differently than their peers. Vaccination status has nothing to do with virus transmission.

Thursday's SCOTUS ruling removes OSHA testing requirements for "the unvaxxed". With OSHA now out of the picture to set rules regarding when imposed testing is no longer needed it is now the employer's policy. So one unanswered question is when would testing stop (if ever)? Honeywell policy says that weekly testing is on the employee's own time and own dime. If you don't turn in your COVID testing results by Thursday at noon every week then you are put on unpaid leave for the entire following week. Miss the Thursday deadline for three weeks in a row or five weeks total and you get fired without severance. They also state that the rules can change at any time. Turning in your medical information to your employer, whether your covid shot record or your covid test data, is a very bad idea.

Honeywell has some facilities that fall under the federal contractor mandate while it has others that do not. (The OSHA Mandate was struck down for those other facilities.) The Honeywell facilities that have federal contractors are subject to the federal contractor vaccine rule. A Honeywell spokesperson said Thursday that 98% of its U.S. employees who are covered by that rule are vaccinated or have approved exemptions. The federal contractor mandate is presently in limbo after it was blocked by a federal judge in December. GE has a number of government contracts but halted its vaccine requirement following that December court decision, and today GE also halted its vaccine-or-test policy for the remainder of its non-federal contractor employees due to yesterday's SCOTUS OSHA ruling. Unlike GE, Honeywell so far remains committed to its policies even though they were implemented only because of the mandates.

The courts have upheld a company's right to determine their own Covid policies. Approximately one-third of Fortune 100 companies now require the Covid vaccine for employees. We all know that Honeywell cares only about money. We also know that Honeywell is self-insured. Non-vaccinated individuals are far more likely to be hospitalized for Covid than those who are vaccinated. The average in-hospital duration for Covid is 20 days. Non-vaccinated employees also likely have dependents who are also non-vaccinated. Again, Honeywell only cares about money. Each Honeywell employee can be replaced. Honeywell does not care about the increased workload for those who remain. Honeywell has extremely bright accountants and MBAs who have run the numbers. Honeywell has an extremely bright team of lawyers who have confirmed the legality. Your freedoms are not being violated and you are perfectly free to work for any other company of your choosing. You are replaceable and this is strictly a business decision.

The court ruled that if Congress didn't enact a law requiring this for private companies, the executive branch can't just do an end-around and expand existing law via edict. The government can only set rules for enacted laws within that law's constitutionally limited boundaries. OSHA has not been given the power to set this type of mandate (vaccine), but can require things under existing law, like masking. A win for upholding separation of powers and the constitution.
** 100 person employee number is also arbitrary and capricious.

There might be different answer for companies contracted with government as there are different rules and laws that could apply. It will be interesting to watch this as the "unvaccinated" may soon become an oppressed minority class.

@sgg, this means the feds can’t force a mandate onto private employers. In the ruling, federally funded hospitals and other medical agencies can be required to comply, since they are directly funded by the government.

Yeah, the federal contractor mandate hasn't been ruled on by SCOTUS but is currently on hold by a lower court. Doesn't matter, Honeywell is implementing its own mandate.

To be clear, Supreme Court blocks Biden OSHA vaccine mandate. This means HON is not mandated. HON may choose to require vaccines, but can no longer blame its decision on Biden's Executive Order.
