With a budget of $44 billion this year, no company will be able to get near the world’s most powerful chipmaker.
Why haven’t the big talk about the big honking fabs in US and Europe not been announced?
Because Intel can’t afford them, if it had the technologies they claim coming, if Foundry was real and competitive and could make money, then they could spend with assurance the investment would be paid back with huge growth in business, profits and stock appreciation.
Why do you think the stock has gone down and languished just like Intel’s revenue?
Intel doesn’t have a chance as a technology leader without tens of billion a year for many more years! Now tell me why a profitable company should get that kind of handout, especially such a terribly managed one?
this isn't news to anyone
