Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Is there any chance that ATT will subsidize the cafeterias

In the collaboration zones to encourage more to come back into the office?

Seems like the poster should have a career in HR alongside Santone. Make the subsidy a happy meal with a trophy for all of you looking for a handout to bring you back to the office (the place that you are PAID to come to).

Why use a carrot when you can use a stick.

They are continuing to lay people off and trim benefits to pay down debt they acquired years ago with the Time-Warner acquisition.

They aren't subsidizing anything.

Their forms of "encouragement" are more of the negative reinforcement variety. :)

Funny, if TV and movies are non-strategic businesses, running cafeterias are definitely in the pipeline.

Stop making up nonsense! Go eat at McD or that gas station where you normally eat. You get nothing freeā€¦.neither lunch or dinner.

What are these cafeteria’s you speed of? I get written up for going 1/4 mile off route to get something to eat. Oh the problems of the administratorsā€¦

Free meals are for senior execs only.

Rank and file need to pay, we wouldn't want them to get entitled, you see.

Free donuts? That will make me go to the office.

It must be horrible to actually have to pack/go get lunch.
And especially if it's not subsidized by the company.
It might be a bit chilly or rainy or hot or windy or whatever outside!!!! THE HORRA!
Maybe your hubby could pack you a lunch and an extra pudding and a kissy note in the bag.
41 years T never subsidized my lunch. Nor would I have accepted it. My front seat was my cafeteria.
My gas station food was all the collaboration I needed or wanted.
You inside folks have no idea how feeble and helpless you are/appear.
Pathetic.

Only Stinky can go out to a 5 star restaurant on the company dime. Everyone else is a peon and not entitled to $hit.

Check that - Whitacre, long gone, still have his corporate AMEX card with unlimited charging privileges on the company dime. Doesn't that show what is fundamentally wrong with Toxic T?

You wanting a free lunch? Do they subsidize the lunches for the techs outside? Do you really believe that collaboration zones work?

No one I know has any plans to return to an office. Why enter a cesspool of germs?

Collab zones are a dead thing. Another "exciting new management concept of the month" that has been used for leadership bonus acquisition and has now been discarded.

That’s just inconsiderate but many of these AVPs got promoted way past their abilities. Ever hear of a Chicken Wrap Fatty McGoo?

I hope not. Use to have this plumpy AVP in our group and we had a meeting in her office. During the meeting she is scarfing down pork ribs from the cafeteria. We are sitting three feet from her trying to review results and figures and she can’t shovel this boxed up food down fast enough.
