Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Haven’t seen this in a long time

I’m glad that I loaded up on some of the stock back in 2020 when it got so low. I’m almost more than 4x my initial investment. People try and hate on Bill, Farley and even Biden but the market sure is doing better than ever. They must just be a bunch of broke crybabies. Too enraged by their Faux News to actually dedicate some time toward investing and taking some personal responsibility for their lives.

Ford stock has always been a trade. You can make money on the stock and of course, you can lose money. I agree it became a MEME stock and that is what drove it up. The smart money is out and looking for another opportunity.

Yep, the jinx worked, stock below $21 and heading lower fast.

I'd sell if I were you. Lock those profits in. But again sub $15.

Yes, it is amazing how people have done so well they need to hang out on a layoff site and yap about their financial brilliance. To the posters who claim to be rich, everyone knows you are a middle aged man who has career peaked, just trying to hang on until retirement because you are too afraid to try elsewhere.

At least one analyst says Ford is a sell, the entire EV market is overweight. Said could drop 50%, so I would get out before 2021 earnings are released.

There is a book that was published in 1841 and is still in print today advise the OP should read and heed. - EXTRAORDINARY POPULAR DELUSIONS AND THE Madness of Crowds Financial panics and manias
The EV and AV fits what the book talks about.
What happens is the investors lose their shorts. Worldcom and the Fiber story is a more modern day example.

@OP "Haven’t seen this in a long time"

And you won't see it again in a longer time. The only reason Ford stock went up is because now is a MEME stock. The fundamentals for this valuation are not in the company. It is hope and the ignorance of a bunch of "self investors" what brought the stock up.
