Is it really necessary to hear rumors about store level layoffs so that people finally start looking for new jobs? My question is why are you waiting for rumors? Isn’t it less stressful to find a new job that is more stable before such rumors start circulating?
Some believe that it is easier to find a job now than ever, but this is not necessarily always true. There are people who trusted this to be the case so months after they got laid off they are still looking for a job.
@2exz We are not here waiting or talk rumors about Belk company or anything. We are here for fun and entertainment on this webpage just like you watch daytime soap "The Young and Restless or Worthless" if you care. We rather see you speak the truth if you dare to say. The TRUTH may hurt for a little while with wonderful associates at Belk like us, but a LIE like Belk executive leaderships hurt the company forever!

Oh it must be so nice to have all the answers. I guess the know it alls think life is exactly the same for everybody. Some of us can not afford to quit without another job or have other factors that weigh in on our choices.
Not really at least I am telling you the truth and you could not take it right? Life is a choice we all have to make. You either work for the retail job like Belk that we all hate to make as a living or take any job out there to make ends meet. Please don't expect Belk to take care you or give you a bright future with it. The future is yours and only you can change it. People don't plan to fail in life. They fail to plan what to do with their life so deal with the reality of life Belk grandpa!

Don’t worry about rumor or layoff news at Belk. The truth is Belk is going no where just like distress retail Bed Bath and Beyond company today. You can stay and waiting and waiting till Belk is sold again or go under for good. It is not hard to find a job at $15-16/Hour at Taco Bell, Wendy or any fast food companies out there to start. The real question is what do you want to work for? More money and still put up with tough and unhappy life at fast food industries or less money and still put up with crazy low life heartless Belk company with no future? Search your empty soul and painful heart for answer. You know what to do!
