Inflation is ki----g it. Do you guys think that our Pete boy will give us some pay raise this year given this huge inflation. Or do you think he will keep BSing - "Focus, team work, profitable growth, commitment..blah blah blah (read non-sensical high level BS)" and give us near ZERO Raise as always.

it's a battle of attrition right now. aig wants old timers out, but doesn't want to pay severance. old timers won't leave without severance. aig will do everything in it's power short of paying severance to make old timer leave. this will equal little to no raises in the hopes that inflation eventually breaks your will to stay. maybe you get 100% sti if you are a good worker because they can't discriminate against performance.
face it folks, everyday you remain at aig that thing on your back gets a little bigger, it's called a target.
The awards will be same as last year nil for most and reasonable awards for favourites and those perceived as flight risk they want to retain. At the very top they will do just nicely too. They want more staff to leave especially non underwriting so do not get your hopes up or you will be disappointed
Yes, they will give 15% raises to Pirate Pete and his crew.
Acc consultants will probably increase their billable hours or increase their rates by 15%
That means little to nothing left over for everyone else. It actually probably means they will need to get rid of more competent people that actually work
The object is to pressure all legacy employees to move on down the road. If you are new to aig you will do okay if you are a good worker. If you are a legacy employee with over 5 years in the company, not so much.
Thanks for your 5, 10, 15 years of service, but you have worn out your welcome. Pete and crew know that legacy employees aren't going to leave unless you make their lives miserable and even then many will still stay. Complain all you want, Pete and crew do not care if you stay or leave so why would they give you a decent raise? Just because it is the right thing to do? Come on, these guys don't think that way. They have no conscience.
My high hope is 9-12% raises. I mean inflation eats up 7% and that gives us a true 2-5% raise. Typically, inflation is around 2-3%. The bare minimum they should do is match 3% to meet inflation. For “hard workers/the in crowd”, possible 5-8% increases. So in reality.. everyone should at least get a 7% raise and the “hard worker/the in crowd” should get 9-12% for this year. Idk might be wrong. Who knows
AIG thinks everyone is overpaid so this is just a reset. No raises needed. Nothing to see here. Move along....
no way this group gives 7% raise to keep up with CPI. that would mean they would have to cut into there multi-million dollar bonuses to help the little person. who in their right mind think that anyone in upper management cares about the workers?
I heard really large raises + promotions this year.. this may be your year to actually stay at AIG and not want to leave. I’d say come next year.. back to 0-3% again and you’ll be sad. But take this big raise and look for the new gig for next year
Apply for one job a night. Worst case you don't hear back.
